Texture Paste Technique {with Gabrielle Pollacco}
Today, we have have an AWESOME technique to share! In fact, just calling it a technique doesn't do it justice! Designer Gabrielle Pollacco is sharing her very own homemade texture past recipe!!
Here's her special recipe!
Use an old credit card to apply your texture paste to your mask, holding the card at an angle and skimming it over the mask onto the paper.
Here is what Gabi's texture design looks like on her layout.
Tip: The paste dries fairly quickly but you can speed up the drying process and keep the paper from buckling by drying it with a blow dryer on a low setting.
Now...a look at her finished product!

Gabi I love it!! The stencil is beautiful, who makes that one and what the design called if you don't mind sharing that information. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful way to use texture. I have been a little afraid to try it. But now with the home made version, Im not to worried about it now. Thank you again, for sharing. The layout is stunning!!!

Thanks Donna and Tammy! Tammy the stencil I used is from Michaels, it's not in the scrapbooking area but rather can be found in the paint area. The Company name is American Classic by Tracy Moreau and the stencil itself is called Jacobean Floral. Hope this helps! xo

Awesome recipe! I'm going to have to try it out since every manu's molding/modeling paste seems different (same goes for gesso). Would be nice to be able to adjust the consistency to whatever works best for a particular project. :-D

talc is a soft mineral while baby powder is cornstarch. will true talc work?

I was just complaining about how expensive modeling paste is. Wish I had seen this earlier but I'm going to give it a go anyway! Great post!

Wondering and about to experiment with colors - using color paint in place of and/or addition to white paint.
Great idea to make own so can make a travel size container. Tiny bottles and jars ready-made hard to find to buy. Now just have to ask my friends with toddlers to save me containers with tops. Thanks for recipe.
